1. Agreement to these terms

MapMath (“the Guide,” “we,” “us”) is operated by Umar Farooq. By accessing this website, purchasing access, or downloading the PDF, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site or buy the Guide.

2. What you are buying

A single payment grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence for lifetime access to all chapters of the Guide and to download the accompanying PDF. “Lifetime” means the operational lifetime of the product and is not a guarantee of perpetual availability.

• The licence is for your individual use. You may not share, resell, sublicense, or publicly redistribute the chapters or the PDF.
• Code listings are yours to use. You may use the code examples freely in your own projects, commercial or otherwise, without attribution.
• For team, classroom, or bulk licensing, contact us before distributing to additional people.

3. Payment and access

Prices are listed in US dollars for a one-time purchase. Card payments are handled by Gumroad, which acts as our merchant of record; other methods offered at checkout (such as Wise or USD bank transfer) are confirmed manually. Access is granted to the email address associated with your purchase once payment is confirmed. If you create an account with that same email, your access unlocks automatically. If access does not appear within a reasonable time, contact us and we will resolve it.

4. Refund policy

Chapters 1–5 are free to read in full before you buy, so you can judge the depth, accuracy, and writing style for yourself first. Because the Guide is delivered instantly and in full (all 27 chapters plus the downloadable PDF), refunds are limited as set out below.

We will refund your purchase within 7 days if:

• you paid but genuinely cannot access the content and we are unable to resolve it;
• you were charged twice or in error; or
• the Guide is materially not as described (tell us the specific discrepancy).

We do not provide refunds for:

• a change of mind, or finding the material not useful, after reading the paid chapters, since the free chapters let you evaluate the style and quality first;
• dissatisfaction with anything that was evident from the free preview chapters;
• requests made after the PDF has been downloaded and the majority of chapters accessed; or
• requests made more than 7 days after purchase.

To request a refund, email us within 7 days with your order reference and a brief reason; we reply within about three business days. Approved refunds are returned through the original payment channel. Card payments are made through Gumroad, our merchant of record, and are also subject to Gumroad’s buyer terms. If something is wrong, please contact us before initiating a chargeback so we can put it right.

5. Accuracy, errata, and disclaimer of warranties

The Guide is provided for educational purposes. While it has been prepared with care, the formulas, code, and other content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.

Mapping and geospatial mathematics involves edge cases, differing datums, and platform-specific behaviour. You are responsible for independently verifying any formula or code against your own requirements before relying on it in production or in any safety-, navigation-, or financially-sensitive system.

We maintain the Guide and welcome corrections. If you find an error, email contact@mapmath.dev. Confirmed corrections are credited and rolled into a future revision.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall Umar Farooq or MapMath be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of (or inability to use) the Guide, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Guide shall not exceed the amount you paid for it.

7. Intellectual property

All text, diagrams, branding, and design of the Guide and this website are the property of Umar Farooq and are protected by copyright, except for the code listings, which you are licensed to use as described in section 2. You may not reproduce or redistribute the written content without prior written permission, other than brief quotations in a review.

8. Privacy

We collect only what we need to deliver the Guide: your name and email (via our authentication provider) and your order details. We use this to grant access, process payments and refunds, and respond to support requests. We do not sell your personal information. Account and order data is retained for as long as needed to provide access and meet legal obligations.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always posted on this page with the “last updated” date above. Continued use of the site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by applicable law, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions.
